Entry is now open for registration for schools and quiz teams. Posters and booklets have been sent out and a copy can also be found here.
Maths Trail for visiting students
This year there is a difference to the Maths Trail at the Methanex Maths Spectacular.
Attached is the Maths Trail for use at the Maths Spectacular. Copies will not be provided at the venue so if you wish your students to participate please ensure you distribute copies to them prior to attending the exhibit.
Correctly completed entries will go in the draw to win one of four $20 book vouchers – one for each Year level.
Entries need to be placed in the box marked “Maths Trail Entries” near the entrance / exit.

Refer to the attached spreadsheet to see what times are available. Please DO NOT attempt to add to the spreadsheet directly.
Exhibit labels for 2013 now available
The links are below for the exhibit labels.
Please remember the following:
- Labels should be printed on the correct colour paper
- Labels should be completed clearly with the school name easy to read and student names spelt correctly
- Labels must be attached securely to exhibits (if the label falls off, the exhibit may not be able to be judged)

2 weeks for exhibits
With just over 2 weeks to go before the Methanex Maths Spectacular begins, now is the time for teachers and parents to be encouraging students to be working on their exhibits.
There are several catagories to choose from, including individual 2D artwork and group projects on the energy industry. Prizes are available for all catagories.

The Methanex Maths Spectacular starts on Monday 26th August. Now is the time to register your school team for the two quiz nights. Thursday 29th August for year 9 and 10. Friday 30th August for year 7 and 8.
